Q: Where is my nearest rediATM?
A: Find your nearest rediATM for direct charge free transactions by:

  1. Using the online locator tool; or
  2. Look for the bright, bold red ATMs carrying the rediATM or NAB logos;
  3. If you’re out and about, you can have the location of the nearest rediATM sent directly to your mobile using the sms locator or the rediATM Finder for the iPhone.

Q: When can I start using NAB ATMs for direct charge free withdrawals?
A: From 1 September, 2009  you can access any NAB ATM and pay no direct charge fees. For more information about NAB ATMs joining the rediATM network click here

Q: Are all NAB ATMs direct charge free, including those without the rediATM logo displayed?
A: NAB ATMs are currently being updated with the rediATM logo. Please note that while it will take some time for NAB ATMs to carry the rediATM logo, all transactions made with your card from 1 September, 2009 will attract no direct charge fees.

Q: What is direct charging?
A: The Reserve Bank of Australia has instigated a change in the ATM industry, which means from March 2009 the interchange fees between a cardholders institution and an ATM owner is set to zero. ATM owners now charge cardholders directly for using their machines.

Q: Is rediATM my direct charge free network?
A: If you belong to one of these financial institutions, including NAB. then yes, rediATM is your direct charge free network for your card issued by that financial institution.

Q: Can I still use a rediATM if my credit union or financial institution is not part of the rediATM network?
A: YES, most cards are accepted at a rediATM to withdraw cash, although you will be charged a direct charge fee. To avoid a direct charge fee at a rediATM, you must be a member of one of our many partners.

Q: How much is the direct charge fee at a rediATM?
A: This charge depends on the machine and where it is located, however, the amount will be clearly displayed before you proceed with the transaction. You will have a choice whether to proceed with the transaction or not.

Q: How do I report a technical fault with a rediATM?
A: To report faulty parts or operational issues with an ATM, please call the rediATM Monitoring Centre on 1300 303 814. Please note that you will need to contact your financial institution if your card is captured by a machine or if incorrect money is issued and your account balance needs to be adjusted.

Q: What does the padlock ( no public access ) symbol mean on the search results page?
A: Padlocks are displayed next to ATMs that are located at restricted sites, such as ambulance stations, private companies, and military bases. Only individuals who are authorised to access the premises are able to use a padlocked ATM.
